10 questions, all clicks

Mike, these are the open items that need you, generated from the file itself rather than written out, so the figures in them are the ones the build recomputes. Click an option on each, add a note only where none of them fits, then press Copy my answers at the bottom.

1

When a House lead becomes Self, is that per client or per LO?

Mike confirmed on 1 October that Jaleb is right - a House lead becomes a Self lead after one deal: does James want to confirm it before the engine applies it?

Still open within it: whether "after 1 deal" counts per client or per LO.

2

Which plan are you on yourself?

You have described your own plan three ways - (a) the legacy table, 15% to 25% (30 September), (b) 17% stepping to 21% and then 25% (7 and 8 October), and (c) the 12.5% to 22.5% table your tracker's References tab holds: which is right?

His file matches none of the three exactly: it keys 17% below $2.5M and 21% above, which fits (b) only if (b)'s first step is at $2.5M; its References tab holds (c), the new plan's table, which he did not name for himself.

3

Should a residual be paid on a month marked not paid?

When a loan's monthly invoice is marked not paid but the tracker pays its residual anyway, which one governs going forward: the paid flag, or paying the residual regardless?

Riley confirmed on 23 September that the invoice paid flag is reliable for deciding whether a borrower paid, so the engine pays nothing on a month marked not paid. The trackers do not all agree with that, and McCormick's is the one kept current. This is not about recovering anything already paid; it decides what the engine does each payrun from here.

4

Joel's residuals: vendor bill, or payroll line?

Are Joel's residuals paid after 8 August 2026, on loans funded before it, vendor bills rather than payrun lines?

5

On January 1st, does Justin's volume go back to zero?

On 1 January 2027, does Justin's cumulative volume go back to zero, or does it keep counting with the hurdle thresholds simply re-tested?

The DATE is settled and is not in question: Mike, 21 Oct, with James Behanick and Ivannia Recio. His sentence was "we start fresh with his threshholds on a calendar year", and it does not say whether the volume resets or the thresholds are merely re-tested against volume that keeps counting. The answer recorded as settled says so itself - "TWO THINGS STILL OPEN" - but because it closed the topic, `closed()` dropped the whole item and neither half was asked again. Worth putting the second part to him alongside: he said on 16 Oct the reset 'really only affects Justin now since Robbie will be 1099', which does not account for his own file.

6

Should referral deductions match what the ledger paid?

Should Justin's tracker deduct $500 a loan on referrals, as your ledger pays them? Every referral fee in account 61175 between 11/19/2025 and 10/13/2026 is exactly $500 - 50 bills, no exceptions. His tracker deducts $825.00 on 3608 Oakwood Dr, where the ledger paid $500 on 7/31/2026 and nothing else on that loan, and $1,000.00 on 622 S 14th St, where 2 separate bills of $500 on 5/20/2026 each cover 622 S 14th and 3107 Letourneau together, so half of that deduction belongs to 3107 Letourneau. Both cut his commission by more than the fee actually cost.

7

When did Robbie become a 1099 contractor?

Did Roberto Reyna become a 1099 contractor on 28 September 2026?

Jaleb, 28 Sep: "Uncertain as to Robby, if he is 1099 that is effective today".

8

How often is payroll actually run?

What is the actual pay calendar? The engine infers a 14-day period anchored to 5 December 2025 with a 7-day cutoff. 13 of the 33 recorded pay dates do not land on it exactly, and 1 of those cannot be placed against a payrun at all.

9

Three loans sit in two trackers. Which one is right?

For each of these 3 loans carried in two LOs' trackers with different figures, which tracker's figures are right?

10

Robbie's three newest rows are built differently. Keep that shape?

On the three newest rows of Robbie's own copy the calculation is split across two columns: Commission Owed holds the commissionable origination less the $150 file fee, and Commission Paid holds that times 25% - 2314 N Jecker St, 829 W 9th St, 6722 Ave E. The amounts come out right, and the Paid Date cell on the last of the three holds their total rather than a date. Is that the intended shape going forward, or should Commission Owed hold the commission as it does on every row above?

This is not a shortage and nobody is overpaid. Our reader takes the commission from Commission Owed, which is where every row above it holds one, so on these three rows it reads the base and reports a difference against the engine that is not money. Mike said on 21 October that he is folding Robbie's last three loans into his own sheet, which is when the shape of these rows starts to matter. Worth knowing alongside it: Commission Owed is a typed constant on rows 25 to 33, so nothing recomputes those 9.

The rulings James owes

These are policy, so James rules rather than you. 4 of them.

  1. Riley (23 Sep), Jaleb (28 Sep) and Mike (1 Oct) each said a loan that takes an LO across a hurdle threshold is split - part at the old rate, the rest at the new one - and the engine now pays it that way: does James confirm the rule?
  2. Riley and Mike say a 50/50 split halves the LO's residual, and Jaleb says the full residual is correct: does James confirm halving, as config does now?
  3. Jaleb says the company carries a referral fee up to $500 and the LO carries anything above it, while Mike says the whole fee comes off commissionable origination: which does James rule?
  4. Is the $150 per file paid to Amber the same $150 deducted from Joel's commission?
